Born and raised in Semarang, Indonesia, Griffith International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship awardee Radithya Budi Theomarga realised his passion for composition after adoring the soundtrack of "Kung Fu Panda" at 14. Since then, he has engraved his composition career through composing for different instrumentations, ranging from symphony orchestras to chamber ensembles.
Tutored by the eclectic Australian award-winning composer, Gerard Brophy, Radithya is fortunate to have worked with several virtuosic ensembles and musicians, including the Queensland Conservatorium Wind Orchestra, Riverside Guitar Ensemble, and several energetic musicians around Brisbane. In addition, he is looking forward to work with the Young Conservatorium to premiere his piece "As Ruby Goes Away" at the end of this year.
Moreover, he is also grateful to be able to collaborate with promising Indonesian musicians and release works through popular streaming platforms. Highlights include working with Indonesian artistic songwriter Eky Paratama on a ballad single called "Kerinduan", and releases of personal works - including "Summer Philosphy", "Jejak Terakhir", and "Rejuvenate".
On the other hand, he has also shown his passion in music through becoming an active pianist and drummer. He is currently nurturing young talents in a private studio in Brisbane.
He is looking forward to start a serious career in film scoring and is keen to participate in future projects. He is also looking forward to attend Masters of Film Scoring at Europe in 2024.
